the turbo shouldn't have any play really, well perhaps a little bit of "left-right" play, if it's bone dry of oil.

 

but i definately should have any "in-out" play, that usually means buggered up center section / bearings :wacko:.

there was ever so slightly side to side movement but there isnt any oil in it at the moment (not even half a mm)
