chalky143 0 Posted November 8, 2008 Hello, i know that there is lots of topics on here already and i know if i search i will find my answer but.....im wondering if anyone can tell me if the 406 sri engine fits onto the same engine mounts as my 205 gti 1.9...as somone told me that it is a straight swap apart from the electrics? thankyou leon Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Richie-Van-GTi 70 2 Cars Posted November 8, 2008 electrics and exhuast but otherwise drops straight in. Some people need to extend the bottom mount slightly to give a few vital mm on the master cylinder and bulkhead but its a ten minute job with a drill. You are best to get a shorter top mount to lower the engine slightly though otherwise it is very tight on the master cylinder. Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
