Think its the coolant fan resistor.

yup, the one clipped to the radiator is the fan low speed resistor, and the one clipped behind the nearside headlamp is the Dim-dip resistor.

tachymetric is that for the rev counter (i.e tacho)

the green relay isnt that big?? and the wires arent really thick enough for a starter i don think??

The tachymetric relay is for the fuel pump. It provides a safety cut-off function if the engine stops

The green one near the header tank may be for the driving lamps.

Does it directly feed the fuel pump or does it just activate the fuel pump relay? IS there a fuel pump relay?

no that is the fuel pump relay. Goes to pump via a fuse in the glovebox fusebox

according to the haynes manual i was looking at the tachymetric realy feeds the fuel pump through a fuse with no mention a fuel pump relay in the diagram???? it just shows the wire go into the fuse board from the tachymetric relay through a fuse the back out to the pump!!

is this right??? if not would it still work as im cutting my loom right back and if i dont need a seperate fuel pump relay i aint fitting one
