Throtle Bodies With Standard Ecu Will It Work

Recommended Posts

Dylan l

Thinking of investing in a set of bodies but as with everthing they come at a cost.

My thinking was to get bodies first and then the loom and ecu later.

If i buy jenvey or equivilent and fit would the standard ecu cope? and has anybody tried it.

If not the kit it is.

The car is a 1.6 xu5 with an unknown cam.

nope! it will need an aftermarket management system of some sort to control the fuelling, the standard system relies on input from the AFM.

Actually it is possible I guess if you make an air-box round the bodies, and then connect the AFM to the box..

Throttleswitch and ICV need to be modified a bit etc. but I think it should be possible.

But... I really doubt it's worth it...

It might work, but my guess it'll behave direly tbh!

Get the management first, the TB's can come later then.
