Heaters Stopped Working

My heaters in my 205 gti have stopped working.. the fan just wont do anything.. anybody have any suggestions. any wires to check on the fuse box etc?

There is heater motor resistor under the glove box, this oftern stops working.

GSF do them here.

GSF on eBay

 

Or pick one from a scrappy, which is what I will be doing.

If it has blown the resistor or the fuse then check that the motor is turning freely because usualy if the resistor or the fuse blow it is becasue the motor is starting to seize up and draw more current(power).

Always check the fuse first then the resistor. Also check to see if you are getting power to the motor and resistor because it could be the control switch. I belive that the control switch controls the negative and not the positive unlike most other car's.

cheers for the heads up man.. ive found the problem, its not the resistor , the spin switch thingy has fell to bits, how do i get at it to remove it ?
