16 Valving An Xu 8 Valve Block.

As the title says, is it possible to attach the front idler pulley to an Xu 8 valve block?

 

its the gti6 idler not the Mi16 tensioner I'm referring to, but they use the same fastener thread IIRC.

ok thanks sandy,

 

wondering if this block has it or not, I cant remember where the 16v tensioner attaches to the alloy block :rolleyes:

One goes to the hole below that one in which the plug/tap is in and second one goes to the hole above water pump.

BTW, that third hole (between water pump and plug) is for locking that metal slider which holds belt cover.

thought I'd add a few pictures, a brief glance indicates that there isn't anywhere to fit the idler pulley on the early block I have.
