405 Mot Worries

Recommended Posts

My 405 is in for test on wedensday, basic checks at home show a working cat and lambda as far as emmisions are concerned and all lights etc work fine, there are 3 small niggles, Not sure if they would warrant a failure and 1 fairly significant niggle.

1st, OSF suspension top mount seems to have a bit of play in it, pretty sure its the rubber part as it creaks like dry rubber. Would it use the same parts as a 205 as I have a new rubber and bearing for a 205 one?

2nd, Front fog lights dont work, not sure if these have to work if fitted?

3rd, small 2mm diameter hole in a weld on the middle box, evident by the soot blowing out of it, how serious would this be?

The final biggy, the brake flexi hose are all looking dry and cracked :D , guess this will fail the test? Although none bulge out and braking is good on all wheels.

advice welcome as time is limited for working on it. :D
