Chock rear wheels and jack up front of car Remove front wheels Unfasten bottom droplink nut and release from ARB Unfasten the two pairs of Clamp bolts and slide out ARB Refit is reverse of above The left arm bearing is colour coded grey/red and the right is yellow/white Do not tighten the mounting until the car has its weight on the wheels I have just robbed this from Haynes, M@tt has a Haynes Manual in his signature that you can download. Tom Fenton 1,526 Posted September 21, 2008 Rear ARB is very easy, 15 min job. jack up car, remove both rear wheels, undo the m8 bolt holding the bracket to the trailing arm on one side, use an 12x1.5 bolt to screw into the thread on the end plate to extract it from the ARB, then go around the other side of the car, undo the m8 bolt that side and slide the bar out. projectpug 0 Posted September 21, 2008 Thanks Tom regarding the bolt to screw into the thread on the end plate will i need a slide hammer to extract it. Tom Fenton 1,526 Posted September 21, 2008 No you don't need a slide hammer, the 12x1.5 bolt butts up against the end of the ARB and as you do it up it will push the end plate off the splines. Only thing you need to get is a 12x1.5 bolt as this is not standard M12 pitch. A 306DT head bolt is what I use, I believe a Ford wheel bolt is also 12x1.5.
