Peugeot Sport Bilstein Insert Dimensions Wanted

Recommended Posts

Powers

Does anyone have the dimensions of a Peugeot Sport Bilstein insert? Length of shaft, damper reservoir and total length.

Also the dimensions of a Bilstein body would be great also.

I will attach a picture later on for people to fully understand what dimensions I am after.

Cheers.

can do tonight. I'm not sure what mine are whether they're PTS ones or not. The original set I had had the caps which went over the seals at the top of the body. I now have two sets, both purportedly PTS units but neither have the caps on the top of the bodies. Though they both look PTS other than that.

Will post some pics later and get you some dims too! Also the gravel inserts are longer I think.

Will whip them out and compare

Phil

Does anyone know where you can find out the specification of a Bilstein instert?

This is the product number 2906XDE 7880 M1 300 200

"300 200"

Should imply 300/200 bump/rebound. Which I'm pretty sure is a 205 gravel insert (would have to double check on the rally car!).

James.

Thanks for the replies lads.

Genuine PTS bodies dont run 2 1/4" ID springs.

70mm ID Springs = PTS

but you can get 2.5in plaforms from most places that stock the kits allowing you to use a wider (and cheaper) range of springs
