309 Wishbones On 205 (1.6) Driveshafts?

I have read many threads on the pros and cons of 309 wishbones on 205 driveshaft and hubs.

I understand that there are mixed opinions.

 

The question I have (putting aside the pros and cons) is will 309 wishbones fit on 1.6 driveshafts and hubs?

Obviously they will fit as the driveshafts are the same length as the ones used on the 1.9 GTi (the difference in offset is all outside the wheel bearing afaik)but you'd run the risk of them popping out as discussed on here before.

 

I know this has only happened to one or two people but if your car is lowered 30mm or more than this will lessen the possibility of this happening.
