malyso 0 Posted August 13, 2008 Do the standard 205 drive shafts need changing to 309 ones if upgrading to 309 lower arms. I.e. are they long enough?
tom_m 0 Posted August 13, 2008 can of worms that one run a search and you'll get a pretty even split of people who say you don't need to and other who say you must. personally i've run 309 arms with 205 shafts on two different 205s without any problems

jackherer 543 Posted August 13, 2008 AFAIK the only person to ever report serious issues was AndyY
AndyY 0 Posted August 26, 2008 Yeah and that was at 2mph on full lock in a car park, the joint on the short shaft popped out and pushed the engine up and ripped the engine mount off on the passenger side, I had run it fine for about 3 months before hand and it could have been just a coincidence. Jrod 7 Posted August 26, 2008 I run the short one with a 309 shaft but the long one is bolted in so using a 205 one.
