Anythings possible its just whether you have the time and money.

I like the idea of a Ferrari F40 mid engined Peugeot 205 just waiting for my 6 numbers! lol

I think if my 6 numbers came up id rather have the F40, as its the finest supercar ever made .

VAG turbo would be an interesting concept, run it through a front wheel drive a3 system maybe?

My S3 runs the same lump, 1.8 20v with K04 turbo. The A3's, MK4 Golf GTI's, Seat Leon Curpa's and Skoda Octavia's ran the same 1.8 with either a K03 (150bhp) or K03s (180bhp) and single intercooler as standard. I've had mine mapped to run the figures in my sig and it's quick (13.9 qtr mile) even with lugging 1400kg of weight around and suffering transmission losses through the quattro system.

1.8 has been proven to flow crica 460bhp with the right turbo, injectors, intercoolers, equal length manifold and mapping. It's pretty laggy at the state of tune but it is a rocket when on boost! It would be a challenge getting the turbo, pipework and intercoolers under the hood (not to mention the rest of the work!), and you'd deffo need a LSD to get it down through two wheels (the 2wd 260bhp Leons spin up in third gear in the dry) but it'd be hoot to drive.

Do it....then let me have a go :)

Isn't this a now popular conversion on the clio mk1s? :D

Sure the engine could be made to fit in the bay :)

I've got the 1.8T in my octavia vRS with stage 1 tuning. Very nice smooth engine with plenty of poke.... they are known to get good at high mileage and pretty bomb proof.

What would you use gearbox wise? The VAG one or a pug one?

on those 20V engines, I take it the 5th valve is an inlet valve? Seems a little overkill to me. is it really any better?

Wont it be a bit nose heavy with a steel bottom end?

that was the perceived issue with the 2.0 Mi16 and gti6 engines not that long ago...
