Swapping Trailing Arm Shafts – Any Tips?

Recommended Posts

Atari Boy

I plan to swap over the trailing arm shafts on my ‘new’ beam tomorrow. I am using the existing trailing arms and some decent second hand shafts.

I have ordered the two sets of ‘Plug Towball’ numbered 517905 and 517908 from Pug.

Have I missed any parts or has anyone got any tips.

I am I sure you can tell, I have not done anything like this before although my mate who has the press sounds as though he knows what he is doing although I have not seen him work in anger before.

Thanks

Jonny

not a lot to it, just make sure that the new shaft is recessed from the outer face of the arm by about 2mm for the neoprene seal to sit in.
