309 Remote Rear Window Openers?

can't remember when i've seen a 3-door 309 GTI last, so if someone can take

some pics of the levers, describe the cable routing and then again some pics

of the window mechanism itself - that would be excellent!

 

and whilst on topic, what cars (that are easily found in scrappies) have leccy

rear window openers? i seem to remember 806 and Megane being mentioned?

I know the Ford Galaxy and it's various other appearances use electric opener's on the very back window's, I know mine did abit the top line model

ive got a set of the 309 ones, just havent looked at retrofitting them yet, i think its going to be a ballache

yeah i'm going off of the 309 idea, i think i'll go electric .

my 323 coupe had them too. it wasn't a very highly spec'd one so i would imagine you'de find these on most e46 coupes. So maybe not quite as rare as you might think?

Cybernck, if these are for the Mi32 the 309 ones should be ok. I had a set to fit to my 205 and the only problem I could see was where to fit the opening levers and having to drill panels to rivet the adjusters and fixings in. The cables have plenty of excess and a good amount of adjustment. If you do decide to go this route and source the cables from a scrapyrd remember to take the ball fixings out of the window as well. I gave up on the idea in the end but unfortunatley I binned it all.

yes it's for the Mi32 but i don't like an idea of routing *another* couple of cables to the back

and having to fit the levers somewhere in the cabin. it's too crowded as it is and i think leccy

window openers would be a better idea. i could even wire them to open with ignition on .
