Alignment After 309 Wishbone Upgrade

Recommended Posts

v6Max

So I've put 309 wishbones on the car and now it needs to travel to a garage for alignment and an MOT but...obviously the front alignment is way out with it having quite obvious toe out. Not sure I want to drive it 10 miles with the front end pointing in a variety of directions other than straight ahead so is it possible to get the alignment okish on your own?

Yea, a visual guess is good enough especially as you're only driving it 10 miles, just adjust them evenly on each side so that it looks pretty parallel. Has to be said that it's difficult on these cars as the front is wider than the rear and the front wings appear to taper in slightly so skews things slightly.

use a tape measure and measure between the Rims in front and behind the wishbone at the same height, and as mentioned just wind the track rods out evenly, ignore the position of the steering wheel.

Wind the trackrods out about 9mm each side. :)
