Thanx for all your help. I changed the tachymetric relay today and it fired up 1st time, idled and reved like there was no tomorrow B)

Glad to hear you got it sorted. I have come across the tachymetric relay, ignition amp, coil and air flow meter all causing very similar problems to this (yes my car was a piece of s*it. ;))

if it is the tachy....then its another sympton to add to its list!

 

Agreed, sounds like a lack of fuel pressure (well flow actually) then brought on by a poor tachy relay.
