well it needs such huge wheels and tyres, seeing that it's rear engined!

(hint: look through the rear screen ;))

The wheels are revolution. Fronts are 8J x 15 and rears are 9J x 15

Tyres are toyo r888's. 225/50/15 and 215's.

What would be the best way to make these look right do you think?

Smaller tyres. 15" speedlines use 50 profile 195's, so either 195/50 15s with lots of poke and stretch, or 215/45 15. You'll have less need for the rigid dampers then.

What offsets? Are they on there with spacers?

Yes, i was thinking about a narrower tyre, but surely this will affect the handling of it, and also the ride will be very firm!

Almost as solid as welding the dampers shut!

What will solid rear suspension do for the handling??

You'll have a much harder time stretching those than normal tyres

Not sure what the offset is tbh. I'd guess at about zero.

And i have 5mm spacers on the front, which allow about 2-3mm of clearance for the calipers.

The pic looks great but I would not like to even entertain driving it. I admire your determination to make the car fit the wheels, but it just isn't going to happen!!

This was never a real car!

;)

The problem is that the wheels do not split. Revolution did not supply Dimma AFAIK, only Compomotive, so they will not be "genuine" wheels. My guess they are actually some form of Ford rear wheel drive wheel or dustom for a T16 kitted car

I got 8J 215/40/16's working fine. :P

You will need the bigger arches and even then you will struggle, I had to cut the lip off mine to stop them rubbing and the fronts stuck out slightly.

keep at it , and if you really want they will fit, couldnt you simply cut up the rear 1/4s , weld them further up, then find some arches of somthing else that would fit and hide, and graft them onto the car, ok it wouldnt be much of a 205, but wud be awesome :P

Fit 195/45/15s, it will handle like a standard speedline that is a bit over inflated, good fun if you like LOO

I dont think that size would be any good on a 9J wheel!

But it would be okay on the fronts. I'll probably try 205/45/15 on the backs.

Trust me its fine, quite a stretch but I've given my car death for months and its fine, only way I see you getting 9s on without putting gay arches on..

I've got a mate who runs 9Js on his S body Skid car with 195s, not sure on the profile tho. He does use deodorant to get them to fit tho.

I'll probably go with 205/45/15's. A bit of a compromise.

195/50 15 on a 9j, so they will fit, as you say, there probs not the best bet tho.

Seems really stupid to me to fit such wide wheels if you are only going to fit narrow tyres?

Well its okay for a show car, or if its something a bit special, but for my old £500 rat look mi16...

I just want it to hold the road like its on rails but im not really too bothered about how it looks.
