1.9 8v Head

hiya all

 

ive been told that my valve stem seals have gone and need replacing, is there anything else i should change when the head is off?

 

if so can someone also recomend a good place to go to for the work in the west midlands, its a 1.9 8v 1992 non cat engine, also an estimate on price please

 

or should i just buy a rebuilt one?

i have a reconditioned head here, which cost me £150 to be done

 

that included fully stripping, skimming, valves re-seated, new stem seals and valve clearances set.

 

i thought that was a good price

I just paid £120 to have my xu10 head skimmed 1.6mm, 3angle valve seats, new valve stem seals all built up ready to shim.

 

I believe autosprint is near you.
