Gti6 Oil Temp. Sender Thread Size?

Anyone know the thread size for the '6 oil temp sender?

Josh i think its the same as the oil pressure hole.

 

M16 X 1.5. I will confirm tomorrow though to make sure :huh:

According to that thread (no pun intended :) ) it's m14 x 1.25. Which is very handy, as the post '93 205 sump uses an M14 temp sender. So it means you can fit that in a GTi6 conversion and the gauge will read correctly, which it doesn't when using the '6 sender. :)

Cheers for that Ed :lol: How many pins does the '6 sender have? And does it have the threaded post to accept a ring terminal, like the 8V one has or do you have to modify the loom to get it to fit?

'6 sender has two pins, one of which actually makes the guage work. Its a small spade terminal fitting, so just a case of crimping on the new terminal. Or you could use the original '6 plug chopped off with a length of wire on the correct terminal, then soldered onto the 205 oil temp sensor wire for an OE look. :)
