that wasn't rather constructive, was it, but i guess what he meant was that it has been

asked many times (recently as well) and that the info will come up if you do a search :).

or maybe it's an acronym for something along those lines :P.

Had he known that 'naws' means NOS or Nitrous Oxide injection, then it would have been a perfectly legitimate reply  He's a chap of very few words so I though I'd reply with a single word answer.

Insurance might be interesting no matter what path he takes :)

(Controversial  )

SWAT came into my house, disrespected my whole family because somebody narc'd me out! And you know what? IT WAS YOU! :P

Just an inlet cam swap and aftermarket ECU will do the trick. Have a read of this:

http://www.aussiefrogs.com/forum/showthread.php?t=54941

Magic detuned it from 118kW at the wheels to 110kW to get a better spread of torque. There's a great video near the end.

what inlet cam would you advise is it not worth putting in a inlet and a outlet cam in. where do you get the after market ecu

if you read the website, stage 1 will fit in and run fine, stage 2 will require an ecu remap.

you shouldnt need an aftermarket ecu, remapping will work okay.

I've got someone doing a Stage II swap with a standard ECU at present. He's doing a before/after dyno results so will be better able to answer that question.

The exhaust side of things doesn't really need touching; from cam, to manifold and exhaust. It's all fine 'as is' for that power.

And I thought GLPoo's reply did mean 'do a search'. :)

Nitrous is the cheapest way, a straight 50shot would do it, and not cost much (apart from filling the bottle) an inlet cam and remap looks pretty good otherwise.

Just to add, I'd put money on a 6 engine's 205 with a diff being faster than a 200BHP one without though.

Best place to get a Gti6 engine remapped is Wayne at Chipwizards, if you get some kent pt81 cams and a good remap you should see around 190-195 bhp on a healthy engine.

The kent PT81 cams are a pair , although you can get a inlet cam from catcams or Petert's stage 2 jobby which would probly give you a 15 hp increase?? im sure he could confirm that for you.

For reference his quoted 118kw atw works out at just over 160 hp atw iirc.
