Be3 & Be1 Clutch & Fly Wheel Assembly

I've got an engine with a BE1 gearbox on it. Can I put a BE3 gearbox on using the original clutch?

yes, you just need a BE3 release bearing

The clutch will be OK IIRC, you will need to change the release bearing for the BE3 type though.

there is a release bearing allready on the BE3 box that came with it, so just use that?

Yes but check it turns smoothly & has no play in the bearing.

 

Its a shame to fit it assuming its OK & then it either fail or make a noise when its all back togther. (speaking from experience)
