well when i took the 6 for a test spin noticed the speedo not working, think its because it got near the exhaust(its very close.)

just wanting to know if 309 gti ones are longer?

i read to use a 405 one but which 405?

thanks

Are you sure its clicked in properly, its not pulled out the back of the speedo and you've got the plastic cog in the drive unit?

Mine on my sorrento looks rusty as fook with no insulation (mainly because its had various 16v engines installed), but still is a really steady needle!

not sure to be honest will have to check.

but its really close to the exhaust its just too short so i want a longer one so can re-route it better.

took for another quick spin earlier, reved to 5k this time, made the mi feel slow!

mine melted against the '6 manifold and completely broke into two peices, i brought a new standard 205 one and wrapped it in a peice of thin heat resistant hose and its solved the problem. hope this helps

if you havent got the heatshield bolted to the back of the head you can cable tie it to there
