Retro-fit Flat Flexi Wiper Blades

Recommended Posts

qwertyuiop7

Anyone used these

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Peugeot-205-309-incl...1QQcmdZViewItem

The style seems to be standard on most new cars these days, have them on my 07 VW and they work well, will the they be as good on the 205 fitted to an arm design thats over 20 years old, with some sort of "fit all" models conversion kit

Or should i just stick with a pair of traditional style bosch superplus blades.

cheers

phil

Work fine on my GTi & I'm getting some for my STDT.

Only thing I found to watch out for is make sure they are correctly handed. When fitted the spoiler should be at teh top of the blade, one set I bought off ebay had it at the bottom so I returned them for a full refund. :)

Another set I've seen just had the spoiler central on the blade so I didn't buy those either.

Graham.

or a BX spraybar, IIRC this fits to the arm instead of the wiper.

I think the arm looks different because the blade appears to have an adaptor that is slid over the end of the arm. It looks frickin crap!!

I have genuine Bosch flat retro fit blades that mount to the arm exactly the same as normal blades. Not fitted yet, but should look much better than the ones pictured.

yeah that seems right but for that reason the arms had to be repositioned further down the windscreen too.

take some pics of yours when you fit them, please :).

Gentrix

I had mine from E-bay and they worked good - and I think they suit my 205 fine.

They had a simple Adapter

have got these wipers on my 307 and to be honest IMO they do not work any better than normal wipers and cost a lot more to replace.

Will be keeping the origional ones on the 205,

well thats my opinion for what its worth B)

i'm not really sure why people think they should be better anyway?

it's the material of the wiping strip that dictates how good they will work, if they stick to the screen properly that is.

they are just a new thing and what i like about them is that they imho look nicer and obscure the view through the windscreen less.

The ones I have are similar to those pictured by Gentrix except for a right hand parking wiper. I'll get a picture when my car is back here over the weekend.

The ones from the dutch forum look horrid imo.

I've got the BX spray bars on mine & they do clip to the wiper arm but I want something different because if I'm just cleaning the screen the first upwards wipe is on a dry screen & I want water on there asap to get a better clean without any smearing.

I bought these because the Valeo ones I had fitted were missing a section on the passenger side of the screen but the flat blades touch the whole of the wiping area & wipe much better at higher speeds in heavy rain.

Cybernck, I'll pm you a link to the ebay shop I bought them from but I've also seen another shop with them for less.

Graham.
