Is there something missing from here?

 

Is there supposed to be a metal pipe pressed into this hole.

 

I bought the car and there was a small section of tube araldited in and it was weeping badly.

 

anyone got a picture of what it is supposed to look like?

should be a metal pipe coming out of there with a tee that has a bleed screw in it.

It should look like the picture below but with a bleed screw (preferably a brass one) on the Tee angle just off vertical.

i would either get another or tap the hole and put a bolt + washer/o-ring in

Bloody cowboys! As orb said, tap it and stick a bolt/washer in there, maybe even a litle silicone if it still leaks.
