jerseypug 1 Posted December 16, 2007 bought some driveshafts for a 1.9 205 gti. they were a special offer at £29.99 each outright from euro car parts. the passanger side shaft rubed against the hub so had to cut a notch out of it. that was then ok. fitted the drivers side, all seemed well untill the test drive where the drivers side wheel bearings were totally shot. replaced the hub with another one with new bearings in and after a 5 min drive these bearings were shot as well. measured up the end of the drive shaft and it is different sizes from the old one. the sholder of the shaft hits the middle of the bearing rather than locating inside the tapered tube inside the bearings. everything i get from euro car parts seems to be wrong.
