Sunroof Problems And Spare Parts!

Recommended Posts

Guest Pug_Will

Hey guys

I have the gti 1.6 and have an after market sun roof.. i recently went to a 'Sun Roof Specialist' and he was pretty much no help!!!!!

I want to get the origional sun roof fitted but he said it didnt come with a sliding one, the one currently fitted is a tilt up one.

If anyone has any advice on who to go to, to get this sorted i would be very gratefull or if anyone knows anyone who can plate it over as i think that job is too big for me!!

Also in the new year i am looking to replace the bumpers and trim all round and the lights to brighten up the look a little. does anyone know any sites apart from ebay where i can get parts???

not much you can do with the rain roof, there's a lot of gubbins associated with the factory sunroof, as well as a different roof skin.

Peugeot dealer would be your best bet with the bumper and trim pars ^_^

As said the Factory one is all part of the skin really, I guess you could fit it but one hell of a job,

Only real option os a new skin but this isn;t cheap to get fitted

I have all the parts necessary to fit an oe Pug sunroof for sale, but as said you'll need a different roof skin as the strengthening will be totally different.

What make is your sunroof?

If i were you i'd have a really good hunt around for someone who will fix it, but it would be helpful knowing the make so you could hunt around t'internet as well.

Failing that i'd get the sealing gun out and seal the bugger up.

I have anchored it down pretty well!!!! so no need to seal up just yet!! its not bothering me i would just like it sorted out!!! what about puting a skin over it and having the thing sealed up for good??? anyone know what it costs for that to be done? the whole thing with roof lining and all.

Do you actually WANT a sunroof though? Because if you're not fussed about it you could have the sunroof removed and a sheet bit of metal rivetted over the top of it and sealed down.

I saw it somewhere on this sight - maybe in the Group Buys as some people where removing their sunroofs to save weight etc.
