Gti-6 Exhaust Manifold On An Mi16

Does it fit? if it does, is there much to be gained at all? I bought one for my 306, but I'm thinking now I'll probably sell it, unless it's worth putting on my Mi16.

nope, it wont fit, it will fit the 1.8 engine though.

yeah I'd bought it as part of my masterplan on the 306, which is probably not gonna happen as the ECU is gonna be a problem when it comes to the s/c.

is it that easy to just use a different ECU? I'd wondered about using a GTi-6 loom and ECU on it as the Marelli ECU is mappable for a lot less money.

It will fit with an adaptor plate. I know because peter taylor makes them because a mate has one... I don't know about the gains from the manifold, but they look nice

It's certainly a bugger of a job and it's probably cheaper to get new pipes made if you're not handy with tools.

Andrew is still talking about fitting his, so it will be interesting to see if anything improves. Did jeff get his running with the 6 setup? He was working on a gti16 manifold last time i saw him - that looked amazing
