Hello people,

Just brought a green twin cone induction kit for my 205 gti 1.6, just turned up.

Shall i fit a heat shield??

And whats the best way to get the cold air to it....where should i run the feed from?

Cheers

Neil

from anywhere near the front of the car, not to low as to take in water from the road though!!

Fit a heat shield if you wish, it wont really make anydifferance though, thats from personal experiance.

If you are fitting the air filter at the front of the engine as part of an induction kit then you won't need a heat shield but if you are fitting it in place of the original airbox at the back of the engine, don't bother, keep the standard airbox instead.

The standard air intake system of the 205 GTI is very well designed from the factory & fitting an induction kit often makes no difference except for the noise.

Graham.
