If you are stll using the stock injection mate none of those pumps are high enough pressure, iirc the fuel rail is at 3 bar (45ish PSI).

IIRC the standard 405 Mi16 fuel pump is the same as the 405 T16 fuel pump - so definately has a lot of flow potential and can cope with the pressure.

It is also external so doesn't have to be mounted in tank.

I've got one somewhere if you wanted to give it a try?

so if i run a external pump,i could block of the hole, and feed in 2 pipes for fuel lines, maybe fit a filter sock onto the pipe and hope it would still pick fuel up?

You can use the 2 pipes that go out of fuel tank then connect to external pump.

Fuel filter can be in front, in engine compartment.

Also external fuel pump can give much better flow if u fit an uprate one. 4 bar is nice goal. You will also need adjustable fuel regulator for this to feel the difference.

save a few quid and get an external ford one from a breakers yard. Last one I got was £10 and flowed a hell of a lot more than my pug pump.
