Anyone Know What This Wire Is?

Hi All

 

Need some help identifiying this wire!!

 

It looks like it comes out of the gearbox next to where the spedo cable plugs in, It's grey in colour and has a multiplug on the other end of it which isn't plugged into anything. Any help gratefully appreciated.

Does it look like the one that runs along the rocker cover here ?

 

 

If so it does not attach to anything, it is a diagnostics port of sorts.

TDC sensor, which on the older engines is simply a Diagnostic tool.
