Quick question - I'm at work so can't check...

What size socket is needed to undo the hub nut on a G plated 1.9 GTi (front) - any ideas? Any help greatly appreciated...

35mm usually, but some aftermarket driveshafts (GKN springs to mind) have 36mm hubnuts.

Note that you need a deep socket so you can get it on with the wheel attached...

Advice appreciated - wheels are off the car but I've sorted a deep socket out from Draper since it seems 35mm is not that common a size.

Tell me about it! I ordered a deep impact 35mm socket which arrived the next day only to find out mine were 36mm!
