Beam Stripping Quick Question, Sorry

I am mid way through stripping a rear beam. I am at the stage where I need to remove the offset washers to release the torsion bars and arbs.

I have slid one out but can shift the other one, any tips or tricks? It seems a little too happy where it is.

insert an M8 bolt that's longer than the original torx bolt, and whack it, then get a pointy thing and clean out the groove, then carefully tap the washer to the middle of the hole.

 

the washer usually gets wedged into the groove by the end of the torsion bar, as well as all the crud/rust.
