Preping Rear Beam - What Paint To Use?

Recommended Posts

Atari Boy

I am in process or rebuilding my rear beam.

I plan to repaint each part as they are all a bit old and rusty. I have used a flap wheel etc to strip away everything so I now have bare metal pritty much.

Should I use Hammerite straight onto the metal or prime it first?

If so what sort of primer would suit it best? As I said most of the meatl in bare but there is still rust etc in curtain places.

thanks

Jonny
