1.4 Into 1.1

Right well I've swapped the dash and got the rev counter working on the little 1.1 :D:)

I'm going to chuck a Xs engine in there but noticed the 1.1 hasa fuel return, is it ok just to block this off as the XS doesn't have one?

Shoule be, or run a pipe back if the tank has the connector.

The XS should have a fuel return line! From the top of the air release trap (clear plastic thing) next to the fuel pump.

EDIT: Fat typing fingers

I've only seen that on the rallye, Never on a XS :D

Sandy, where would I run the pipe back from as the carb doesn't have a connector?

i've just swapped my standard little 1.0 XE engine for a XS one and was wondering how to go about swapping over the rev counter over from the XS to the XE?

Just had to swap the wiring loom for a XS one, pretty simple as it all just unplugs from the fusebox.

Figured this out now.

The return pipe comes off the little white as you said so you can just use that with the Xs engine and no need to block up the return or anything. :(

Took me 5 hours to swap the engines incuding a clutch and manifold change which I didn't think was to bad. :(

Yer,

I wasn't sure whether to go original and lose the rear quater badges and the PTS below the flame or just mix the 2 like I've done.

I'm happy with it as it is except the rally stickers on the doors, I don't thionk it matches with the Euro style on the badges.

Looks good!

I also tried a combination of the two (euro and UK) at one time but currently running with solely UK style:

Did you have any trouble fitting them?
