Weber 45 Jet And Air Corrector Sizes

Recommended Posts

got my s16 engine 205 booked in at minisport rolling road but they dont keep all jet sizes etc. Heard good things in the trade about rob and carbs, and its not rocket science- runs sweet to begin with. Ive got 36 and 38 chokes, 140 145 150 mains f16 emulsion tubes and 160, 175 airs. Will this be enough to play around with, what are other m16s running? Standard s16 on dizzy apart from piper regrinds and powerflow exhaust. Does 70 quid inc vat sound ok for twin carb rolling road session?

price is ok.

use the 38mm chokes to begin with 36 is just too small.

150 mains

f16 tubes

180-190 airs

pump jets can alter the fuel slope so best have 40 & 45

50f9 idle jets

4.5 aux venturis

Wont be far off.

Power 175-185 bhp

Back from rollers, minisport did have stock of jets etc. Made 179 at 6700 and power was still rising but so was oil out of breather with pressure!140 torque. What a mess!

38 CHOKES

150 mains

45 pump

175 airs

f16 emulsion 4.5 aux

To be honest cant feel any diffence between 145 and 150 mains not much in it.

Stil gona try 36s as if they perform better all way to 180hp then surely it pays off in gear acceleration where engine pulls 4500 to 7000 ish

So the s16 cast manifold is ok for power, but i think its poor for extraction and torque. Gona have to look into breather system as engine not losing oil, cylinder balance good also. Got a mi rocker fitted so could be part if problem?
