yes.

thanks mate, does it require the uprated mount like the mi-16?

I mean im told the mi-16 requires an up rated mount to stop the engine catching the master cylinder.

its from a xsara vts so its got the 5speed box in with the intake and exhaust manifolds(including down pipe) plus ancillaries so apart from having to use my drive shafts would I be right in saying it will go in with out needing to modify engine mounts i.e. welding new ones

Yes, the master cyl is extremely close to the cam cover with a gti6 so its probably even more vital.

Just make sure you keep hold of the xsara top mount.

It seams your not really sure whats involved with the conversion try a search on the conversion to get a better understanding of what mods are needed what parts to use and wiring ect. it will help you out and make the job a lot easier.

As Craig said, look through the forum and do your homework. Then get out they're and just do trial and error making it fit, its the only way you'll learn.

Think i had the engine in and out 3 times in my GTI6 205 for trial and error, got it to a fine art though
