ross009 0 Posted September 12, 2007 just wondered if a manufacturers pulley has to be used with there cam or a piper pulley would fit on a cat cam? also is a vernier pulley a method of counteracting the detonation seen on some engines when running higher cr's i.e 11:1? or is mappable management the only way to solve this tks in advance Ross
brianthemagical 1 Posted September 12, 2007 most aftermarket cams are maden original blanks i think, therefore they are very similar and they are designed to be used on standard cams. it might cure the detonation by altering the timing lowering the dcr, but putting a massive cam, retading the ignitin or not driving so much under lad will have the same effect.
