Coilover Suspension On Rear?

Recommended Posts

Guest Batfink

I remember seeing this in CCC. How did the car get converted. Can you just remove the torsion bars and then use coilovers where the shock absorbers are or would that not work

it may work, but the car in ccc uses a completely different one-off rear setup.

i attached the pic of the one from ccc.

also, there is a 205gti.com approach:

i think the bottom part of the coilover is mounted on the shock absorber

mounting point on the rear beam. failing that - somewhere else on the

trailing arm, but i'm interested to find out more details about it as well,

so i hope hilgert will reply (didn't do so last time i asked).

cheers.

The CCC one was on a 205 running in the 750mc Hot Hatch series, where you had to use all the orginal pick up points, Can't remember the drivers name at the moment but I think the cars still around
