1.9 8v Dished Pistons

Recommended Posts

Can anyone confirm the volume of the dish on the above piston.

I made it 16.5cc. Would like to hear some other results though to confirm.

If anyone is looking to buy a burrette to do this, don't get one of the cheap ones from ebay seller OnlineScienceMall. Total cr@p. Mine kept cracking around the tap and I had to chop the end off every time this happend. Was 50cc when new, now about 35c after four repairs. So much tape on it is almost unreadable!

Thanks, Peter.

I have read a few differing values. Are there two versions of the 1.9 8v piston?

There's three different pistons that I'm aware of. The only one I'm absolutely certain of is the DFZ piston, which is 9cc. So 15cc and 16cc are probably right for the 122hp and 130hp versions.
