GazRallye 0 Posted May 24, 2007 had a bit of a search and found some conflicting opinions 1) can anyone confirm for me if the XS driveshafts are the same as other petrol base models? 2) or if any other cars using the MA gearbox share their driveshafts with the XS such as the AX, saxo, 106, 306, 309? 3) also i found an XS down my local scrappy much to my delight, but on closer inspection it was a old one with the XY (?) engine, i'm reckoning the driveshafts are completely different as the gearbox didn't look like an MA cheers
Casanova 0 Posted May 24, 2007 1) Yes 2) Pass on this one, not sure. 3) The XY engines had different boxes so I assume different shafts.
christopher 5 1 Cars Posted May 24, 2007 All the TU 205 driveshafts seem to be the same except..you guessed it. The TU24 http://www.stuartmcguire.co.uk/pug/GB/205F/3/32E20A.HTM
Sandy 189 Posted May 25, 2007 The earlier XV/XY etc series, uses equal length shafts, entirely different lengths to the TU/MA. 309 shafts are longer, obviously and there are two different types on 309 TU's, which are different to the E1A and G1A 1.1 and 1.3, which used the BE box.
