Sheared Clutch Lever Bolt Hole!

Recommended Posts

Kennyb

Ok is there something that you can get to re-create a thread cos some monkey who had the car before me had cross threaded the clutch lever bolt and now i've changed the clutch and cable, welded up the spliting lever and put the bolt back in (straight) its sheared some of the thread and wont tighten to where it should meaning i've to check it everyday and finger tighten it as much as i can before it slips on the thread

Higgy

I've done this on my BE1 box. Not too bad job to do.

Aluminium is dead easy to tap for the helicoil insert.
