Any Technical Problems Experienced, Not Mentioned In Manuals And Books

Just thought about this reading topic about no reverse and 5th - the same problem happened to me.

 

So if anyone knows about any hidden problems when doing some moding or just maintenance please insert here.

 

1. When changing gear selector lever on BE3 do not let the shaft drop in as you will lose reverse and 5th gear.

2. Always make sure there is WOW (Weight on wheels when tightening the front wishbone bolts.

2. Always make sure there is WOW (Weight on wheels when tightening the front wishbone bolts.

 

3. Always make sure there is WOW (Weight on wheels) when tightening rear shock absorber bolts

 

4. before tightening up strut to hub clamp bolts drop the car onto its wheels and give it a drive for a few hundred yards, this will ensure the struts are fully seated into the hub carriers.

3. Rest hubs/wishbones on top of removed front wheels when changing struts to stop the driveshafts falling out and pissing oil everywhere.

5. If a car needs to be towed with no engine make sure the drive shafts are bolted into the hub to make sure the wheel bearing doesnt come apart and you lose both yor front wheels
