Recommended Posts

Guest cookstar

When on rough roads or going over speed bumps, you can hear a knocking noise coming from mainly driver front.

Is this a commoin problem

What things to check for?

Cheers

Is t a case of replacing them and seeing if its better, or can you see by eye if they have had it

Check the ball joint on the wishbone also.

Jack the car up hold the wheel and check for play by moving the wheel from side to side a little. You can usually see where the play is by looking behind the wheel whilst giving it a wiggle.

You should be able to feel with your hands if they have any play, one rod end in each end of the drop links that are subject to wear.
