***uk Ecu Mapper---locations + Ecu Expertise***

Ok,

Much like the "Definitive Paintcode Thread i'm hoping this will become a sticky.

I've been thinking the fact that people dont want to drive a million mile sto get there car mapped, and they want it done by someone who knows what there doing or what ECU's they have most experience in.

I'm suggesting we start with this format.

Example

Location: Northwest etc

County: Lancashire etc

Town/City: Preston etc

Company Name: ECU's R US

ECU Experience: MoTEC / Emerald ETC

Other Info: such as if they have a Rolling road / jow they do there mapping / prices etc

This should help not only people like me, but people who are planning to get an ECU will know which is the best one to buy so a local person can do it. (I know compromise will have to be made with other factors in choosing an ECU such as performance or specification, so please dont comment on this!)

any other suggestions would be great....

How about also a scale of what the owner of the car thought of the mapper and company on a score system for example

VFM 3/10

Quality of work 7/10

that sort of thing to give people an idea if its worth travelling a bit further for a well recommended mapper?

County: Essex

Town/City: Rainham

Address: Track & Road Powerformance, Unit 9 Noak Ind Est, New Rd Wennington, Rainham Essex, RM13 9EB

Contact Details: email=Greenald@NOSPAMaol.com phone=01708 869189

Company Name: Track 'n' Road Powerformance (collaboration between Steve Pitcher (Track n Road) and Steve Greenald (Race Engine Calibration)

ECU Experience: All the leading ones (dta, emerald, motec, omex, kms)

Other Info: Very accurate rolling road, the type where it's just one cylinder rather than 2 (German manufactured TaT CH2 machine). Steve Greenald is well known for being a good mapper. Always booked up weeks in advance. No buls*it about boasting high power figures. As an example I was told my car would have less power than i expected, but will be faster (because of excellent mid range). Answers emails at 4am usually
