Uprated Bottom Mount Question

Hi

I have just fitted a Baker uprated rubber engine mount today, the car now feels really harsh & the exhaust booms (std)

Is this normal ? I was expecting some more vibration but this is borderline annoying.

Maybe it will settle down after a few miles.

Any input would be appreciated.

The bush is a top bit of kit compared with the gooey std job, perhaps Im just getting old !!!

Yep, definately normal I'm afraid But it does settle down a bit after a while. You'll soon get to learn which bits of trim rattle at a certain RPM

I was a bit scared when I put mine in as well! It seems OK now though, I don't know if this is because it has loosened up or I have got used to it. A bit of both probably.

 

I'd say give it a month before you change it.
