Bam 0 Posted March 4, 2007 hi, i'm not sure, i've read in one forum..about a 309gti 4wd. i have "some" problems..with wheelspin.my "modified" 2.0 TCT has to much torque... wheelspin in every gear...up to 5th...(140km/h also)... has anybody tried to fit his 205/309 with 4wd?! (or other ideas to get the massive power to street?other dif?longer gearbox?) cheers
swordfish210 20 Posted March 4, 2007 i once saw a 205 fitted with the 4wd system from a Citroen BX 4wd

TEKNOPUG 3 Posted March 4, 2007 Trick diff and longer gears. Or adjust the amount of boost in low gears and at low rpm
Henry Yorke 269 3 Cars Posted March 5, 2007 I cured this with an Mi Box with 1.9 final drive. If you have much more power, you need a diff and a diesel box. To 4wd a 309 is a big job. The dimma 309 4wd which we had (and is now UltimatePugs) was a full 405 system bolted to a 309 with the rear end being all strengthened and fabricated. Batfink 201 Posted March 5, 2007 Have a look here at Mike's 205 4x4 from 205 parts. that project was last updated nearly 2 years ago! Is it stillborn or progressing in secret?
Bam 0 Posted March 6, 2007 @sam yes the regulator is now working fine.thx (i was back from dyno). we (chipper and me) had have a lot of trouble with wheelspin on dyno. it wasn't possible to test how much power the engine produces. at 5000rpm...we get a lot of wheelspin,we have to abourt the messurament. the chipper said, that is much more possible, but in cause of wheelspin is an exakt measure not possible....and he wants to run my car for testdrive ...and it pushs very(!) hard. dont laugh..i use the short mi16 gearbox. (because a 205 is much more easier than a 309 and nobody has expirience about a 309 turbo). but i have a 1.9 gti gearbox and a ME5 gearbox here. so i should try to get the finaldrive from 1.9 box to mi16 box to get longer gears?how much longer they get with this??? cheers mik
C_W 3 1 Cars Posted March 7, 2007 Yea, an Mi16 is totally unsuited to even a standard turbo. A 1.9 final driver on an Mi16 gearbox will give you very long gearing, 20% longer overall each gear??
Ryan 99 Posted March 7, 2007 that project was last updated nearly 2 years ago! Is it stillborn or progressing in secret? Funnily enough I mentioned it to Mike when I saw him 2 weeks ago. He said it was still ongoing, but work was very slow as he was very busy with other things.
