Best Way Of Painting Steel Wheels?

I got these VTR steelies just wondering the best way of doing this, i want to paint them white but its quite different to painting a speedline as these rust!

So lots of sanding to get rid of rust then treat it? and zinc primer etc?

get some of that stuff that takes it back to bare metal, u get get it in halfrauds for about £10 a tub then when its back to the metal get some hammerite on it, or some metal primer then some hammerite and even some laquer if u fancy it

cheap as chips and u can be finnished in a day

ive just done my speedlines in white (but i used nitromorse instead of the back to bare metal stuff cos they dont rust )

What size are those? And are they from a saxo VTR.

use a wire brush on a drill or angle grinder to get the paint off then some rust killer/inhibiter primer then just paint it normaly

I wirebrushed mine down to metal and sprayed with multiple layers of hammerite.

 

It was rusting again in 6 months to a year.

Wirebrushes can often smooth over the rust. You're better using a proper rust removing wheel or shotblast etc.

Decent acid etch primer underneath would help.

Thats becasue they are, Michelin 6 x 14's.
