Replacing Trim Retaining Studs

Recommended Posts

Grim.Badger

I was a clever boy on Saturday :P I managed to rip the trim off my rear quarter panel and also managed to pull the little studs out of the body work; it's the ones that the red trim attaches to.

Does anyone know how to replace these? I presume some sort of self tapping screw but don't know if there is enough metal to screw into :D

Cheers :D

Can you fit them with a normal rivet thingy (not sure on the name  )?

well nothing special about mine. I use std rivets and a flat bit screwdriver that I cut a slot in the center to use it as a spacer so when I pull the rivets and removet he screwdriver they remained raised off the body.
