Xu10j2/k , Xu10j2z

Hi,

 

recently i bought a 205 1.6 gti with xu5j1 (105hp).

 

I read in the forum that the xu10j2 head is a good upgrade on this engine, combined with a better camshaft.

However, most upgrades I read about were made with the head from 306 xsi, are they the same as with the ones from the 605?

Also is the 605 2.0 turbo head suitable? The engine will be left NA, to comply with the race regulations.

605 2.0 8v Turbo and the 605 2.0 8V uses the same head as the 306 XSi.

thanks. This what I wanted to know. I supposed they might be the same heads, but according to Autodata, the engines have different power output and different engine codes.

I want to ask another question

 

If I use the current cam (105hp version) will there be any power increase with the XU10J2 head?

Also is it compatible (i believe yes).

Cam is compatible, but you will not gain much as it has very little lift. I would fit a 1.9 130bhp cam.
