Which Oil

Recommended Posts

Anyone know what spec oil I should run in my TU24 rallye? Its used for hilclimbs and sprints and driven on the roads to events. No more than 3,000 miles a year.

I've used 0w40 Mobil One for ages but it seems to burn or leak that quite a lot. Any ideas?

I used Amsoil fully synthetic in my Mitsubishi last year and it transformed the car, since i've tried their diesel oil in my 306 and used some of the european formula fully synthetic in the 205 to similiar degrees on amazingness.

It's pricey, but very good stuff, and independant reviews (and oil analysis conducted by a few members on Club VR4) have showed it to do what it says on the tin.

Many thanks. I've e-mailed them with a query. I don't mind paying more for a better quality product!

A 5w-40 should burn off slower, we would suggest a proper race oil such as the ester based synthetics of Silkolene and Motul.

If you really want to go Amsoil we have that too but its not what we would choose for competition use.
